Program:

Day 1: BALIKPAPAN – SANGATA – CAMP KAKAP [L/D]

Morning leave to Sangata by car take about 7 – 8 hours driving, on the way will made a stop at Marangkayu to visit the Equator Monumen. Arrive in Sangata transfer by motorized canoe and cruise up the Sangata river take about 30 minutes then proceed to check in at very simple camp. Lunch and dinner at local restaurant,  and overnight at Camp Kutai National Park.

Day 2: CAMP KAKAP – JUNGLE TREK – ORANGUTAN WILD LIFE [B/L/D]

Wake up early morning at 5:30 then having breakfast, afterwards start enter the jungle trek to search the wild life of Orangutan which is accompany with the forestry ranger. Lunch time will be back at the Camp at 12:200 and take a rest until 3:00pm then continue the jungle trek into the forest to see the wild life Orangutan and late afernoon you may see the Orangutan how to make nest on the tree. Return to the camp, take a shower and dinner. After dinner you may want to do a short jungle trek searching for Tarantula and insects.

Day 3: CAMP KAKAP – KUYUNG – MUARA MUNTAI [B/L/D]

Morning after breakfast, check out from the Camp Kakap then downstream to Kabo by motorized canoe. On arrival continue by car transfer to Kuyung. Arrive in Kuyung board on the motorized canoe cruise up the Mahakam river to Muara Muntai. Upon arrive proceed to check in at simple accommodation called Losmen. Lunch and dinner at local restaurant.

Day 4: MUARA MUNTAI – TG. ISUY – KOTA BANGUN [B/L/D]

Morning after breakfast, sight seeing around the village to see the local people activity then board on the motorized canoe to Jantur village, then continue to Tg. Isuy by car on the dry Jempang lake. Upon arrive we’ll see the performance dance of Dayak Banuaq and seeing infront of their long house. Your opportunity to see their handcraft inside long house. Afterwards, drive to Kota Bangun. Overnight at local Losmen.

Day 5: KOTA BANGUN – BALIKPAPAN [B/L]

After breakfast drive back to Balikpapan it’s take about 5 – 6 hours driving. On arrival at Balikpapan transfer to your hotel or airport for your depature. Lunch at local restaurant. End of tour.
